Peak Performance has decided to reduce their total footprint by 50% before 2030. First steps have been taken, as they joined the UN Fashion Charter for Climate, STICA, BlueSign, and made sure that they are committed to the Paris Agreement. As daily guide we keep an eye at the UN Sustainable Development Goal #12, with focus on responsible consumption and production. Three years ago, we began to map 25 Peak Performance specific focus areas toward the SDG 17 in order to be aligned with the UN approach. We get to work on our specific issues in order to reach 3 important goals: Climate: reduce impact with 50% by 2030; Longevity: reach 30% circular products by 2023; Transparency: full value chain, with a plan for every product. At the end of the day, we wants our stuff to stay loved year in and year out and that this love rules for a really long time.

Eva Weiss: “This product was developed mostly during Covid time, meaning we were only allowed to be limited time in the office. A lot of details and ideas come when you stand as a team around our big table with lots of reference products and materials and can try out, sew, test and cut. This is something we have missed a lot during the past year, however we were allowed to have a few of those sessions. One finding during such a session – of course with 2m body distance - was our packable solution in the back of the hood. Most people that like to be out in nature know that you can actually pack your jacket in the hood. But a lot of people do not know. So we developed this little hook construction that allows you to fold, pack and hook your jacket in very smooth way. Like this it fits in every backpack and joins you on every adventure. So this little detail on the jacket reminds me of a very fun and social session in our office, together with the great adventure team.”
