Many outdoor garments are designed as tweaks of the ‘standard’ version, and all too often that standard has been based on the male body. With our new pants range, all women’s pants are designed with a female-first approach, with a true understanding of what types of fit and style are most sought after.

These are the SUSTAINABLE INNOVATIONS on the product: GRI certified nylon, with great functionality, when it comes to abrasion resistance, DWR performance (FC-free) and comfort. As part of our target to ensure that 100% of our main fabrics contain renewable or recycled materials by 2025 all of our pants collections have been moved to recycled fabrics this includes the Rugged, Mid and Lite pants. On top of this all the carbon emissions from the production and transportation of the pants have been offset through high quality climate compensation projects. This is part of our climate commitment which aims at halving our carbon emissions over the next 10 years, reaching net zero by 2030 and taking responsibility for the remaining emissions along the way. "We know there are FUN FACTS and / or a BACKSTORY! Please share!"
One day, we were a group of women at Haglöfs who started talking about the hazards of finding the right legwear for different outdoor activities. To find the right fit can be really hard and time consuming. The more we talked about it we realized that we all were more or less on the same page – fit is crucial, it has to be comfortable, give freedom of movement, have the right features but at the same time not too many features – rather only what is necessary for the activity. No need for extra pockets or gadgets, and we all agreed that is has to look flattering – otherwise we won’t buy it. All of us who were chatting that day have different body types and are in need of different fits, one fit doesn’t fit all. Right there and then we started to nail down all the different parameters for each model and each fit in our new pants range. Looking at other markets, for ex. Jeans, different fits/models have for a very long time been both self-evident and easy to understand. Therefore, we have also put a lot of effort into making it easy to understand the Legwear program. The different models, fits, features. We like to make it easier, less complicated, less time consuming to find your favorite fit. And when you have found it, you can choose to have it in a heavy rugged material, a lighter material or the version you prefer. Our aim is to build this Legwear program for multiple seasons in a long-lasting and long-term way. When you have found your fit, the same fit will be available for future seasons as well.
