A SHORTER BACK
Women tend to have shorter backs than men. Our SL back systems are adapted to the female anatomy and are therefore shorter.
NARROWER SHOULDER STRAPS
The SL shoulder straps follow a distinct S-shape and feature soft edges on both sides. In addition, they taper towards the ends for a seamless fit around the shoulder area – no pinching or chaffing. The shoulder straps are also more close-set to suit women‘s narrower shoulders.
CONICAL HIP FINS
When fastened, the SL waist belt forms a cone shape that wraps around the female anatomy. Close set anchor points at a slight inward angle, combined with the ergonomic shape of the SL hip fins, creates a fit that molds itself perfectly around the hips.

Our yarn is made from 50% recycled materials. This results in approximately 12% fewer greenhouse gas emissions.
The body fabric of the Futura 25 SL is bluesign® certified. We opted not to use PVC to coat the mesh on the back system and ensured it is still comfortable and effective. And like all new deuter products since 2020, it is also PFC free.

For anyone who misses our popular yellow flower emblem – we‘ve changed the labeling for our SL backpacks and sleeping bags to something bolder, more self-confident and modern. The label is made of recycled card and is attached using a thin bluesign® certified rope that doubles as a wristband. The figure-eight knots tied into the wristband signify various things. They represent mountain sports where this particular knot is used to tie into a rope – i.e. survival. They also symbolize the number 8 that stands for the circle of life, for connectedness, for infinity, and infinite strength. It’s a fitting accessory for all the strong women out there, bagging summits, loving nature and blazing trails.
